Dr. Susan Catt attended Illinois State University and received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She then attended Mennonite College of Nursing and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. At this time she worked as an adolescent substance abuse nurse and was also deputy coroner in McLean County. She then received her Master’s degree in nursing from the Mennonite College of Nursing. From there Dr. Catt went on to enroll in the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Illinois State University. She worked as an APN for three years prior to starting medical school. She earned her medical degree from University of Illinois College of Medicine and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at OSF St. Francis Medical Center.

Having advanced nursing training as well as a medical degree, this allows Dr. Catt to provide a unique and comprehensive level of care to her patients. Dr. Catt provides obstetrical care, sexual transmitted disease screening, menopausal management, sexual dysfunction, well woman exams for women of all ages, gynecological procedures and surgical intervention when indicated. Dr. Catt is also very passionate and has extensive experience in treating infertility patients. She provides consultation and management for infertility patients in need of oral medications for ovulation stimulation and ovulation inducing injections. These medications are prescribed along with ultrasound monitoring in the office. She also offers artificial insemination for infertility patients.

Dr. Catt is board certified and a member of American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, American Medical Association, Illinois State Medical Society and Peoria Medical Society.

Dr. Catt established Affinity Women’s Health Care in December of 2013 initially seeing only obstetric and gynecological patients. In October of 2017, she and Nurse Practitioner Lindsey Fritz, established Affinity Cosmedic as part of the practice that focuses on aesthetic services. They offer Botox injections, Facial Fillers, Laser hair removal, laser skin treatments and body sculpting with SculpSure.

Lindsey is a certified Women's Health Nurse Practitioner and has been practicing in the Peoria area since 2006. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Iowa in 2001. After graduation, Lindsey was a labor and delivery nurse at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. At OSF, she was a member of the flight team for high risk obstetrical patients as well as a preceptor for nurses. In December of 2005, Lindsey graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with her Advanced Practice Nursing degree in Women's Health with honors. Here at Affinity, Lindsey provides obstetrical care, sexually transmitted infection screening, menopausal management, sexual dysfunction, well women gynecological exams for women of all ages and performs gynecological procedures. Lindsey is passionate about hereditary cancer risk screening and provides comprehensive counseling for risk reducing strategies and management for patients at high risk of developing hereditary cancers. She has screened and personally helped manage over 500 patients and helped dramatically reduce their cancer risk with effective and personalized cancer prevention plans. She has been a leader and expert in the Peoria area for genetic cancer screening and has helped educate and train physicians and nurse practitioners around the country. Lindsey was thrilled to be asked by the NPWH, a national association of Nurse Practitioners in Women's Health to assist in writing their position statement on hereditary breast and ovarian cancer risk assessment in 2017.

Lindsey is the Director of Affinity Cosmedic. She is pleased to offer and provide many aesthetic procedures to our practice and patients. Lindsey has received advanced certification in the use of Dermal fillers for lip enhancement and to add volume to the areas of the cheeks and around the mouth with products such as: Juvederm Ultra, Voluma, Vobella and Vollure as well as anti-aging Botox injections for wrinkles and Kybella injections for unwanted double chin fat. She has an aesthetic eye to help our patients enhance their beauty with a natural look. Lindsey is certified to perform state of the art laser procedures for hair removal, photo facials, correction of hyperpigmentation spots, surgical scar removal, stretch mark removal and Body SculpSure treatments for unwanted adipose tissue.

Heather Porto, CNM

Heather received her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Emory University in 2005 and began her medical career in 2003 as a Staff Nurse in Mother/Baby followed by Labor & Delivery at WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA. Here, Heather provided bedside care to antepartum, peripartum and recovering postpartum women and infants triaged early labor and outpatient emergent visits, as well as perioperative and intraoperative care for emergent, urgent and scheduled c-sections.

After serving in numerous midwife capacities for the US Army, Heather became a Staff Nurse Midwife in a large OBGYN practice caring exclusively for women serving in the military as well as dependent spouses and daughters at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital in Fort Belvoir, VA in 2016. She still serves as the clinical nurse officer in charge for a large field hospital based at Fort Meade, MD.

Heather has been an Army Major since October, 2019 and joined Affinity Women’s Health Care in February, 2021.
